Privacy Policy
The website “Vademecum of External Applications in Anthroposophic Nursing Care”, accessible at http://www.pflege-vademecum.de, aims to disseminate accurate and up-to-date information on the use of external applications. It is primarily aimed at nursing and medical professionals.
pflege-vademecum.de is provided by the International Forum for Anthroposophic Nursing (IFAN), the legal entity is the International Council of Anthroposophic Nursing Associations e.V. (ICANA).
You can access this Privacy Policy at any time on pflege-vademecum.de under the link “Privacy Policy” in the lower display area, print it with the help of your browser and save it on your end device.
1. What are personal data?
According to the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter “GDPR”), data are personal if they are either assigned to an identified natural person or can be assigned to a natural person so that this person is identifiable by the data. This includes all information that allows conclusions about the identity (e.g., name, telephone number or e-mail address).

3. Vademecum Questionnaire
On this website we offer a questionnaire in PDF format, which you can fill out and send to us by e-mail, post or fax. The purpose of collecting data by means of a questionnaire is to record your experience with external applications, which we want to make available to others anonymously via this website. For this purpose you give us your consent upon delivery of a completed questionnaire. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is therefore article 6 paragraph 1 letter a of the GDPR (“consent”).
You are required to enter your first name, surname, country and a way of contacting you in case there is a query regarding the content of your questionnaire. Any other personal information in the questionnaire is voluntary. If the contents of your questionnaire are made available on the website, we will add your name and country unless you explicitly ask for this information to be withheld. Any other information, such as your place of residence or contact data, will be used exclusively by the Vademecum editors and not be passed on to third parties. Names of other persons mentioned in the text (patients, relatives, therapists, etc.) will be anonymized before publication. The questionnaires, including the non-public data, are archived by the editors.
4. Operation
As with all websites, every time you visit pflege-vademecum.de your internet browser automatically transmits usage data which are automatized and stored by the web server in server logfiles. The processed data records contain the following information:
- Date and time of server inquiry
- Name of site accessed
- URL of referrer (the website that referred you to pflege-vademecum.de)
- Type and version of the browser you used
- Hostname Your IP address
The last octet of the IP address (the numbers behind the last dot) will be automatically stored in an anonymized way which means that it cannot be used. All server log files will be deleted after seven days. The data in the server log files is used to ensure technical operations (error analysis) and for purely statistical purposes without any personal reference. We process server log files out of legitimate interest in accordance with article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR.
5. Cookies
The language you have chosen for the contents of the Vademecum will be stored in a cookie on your computer, so that when you call up the website again, we can display the texts directly in your preferred language without you having to set it again (article 6, paragraph 1, letter f GDPR).
6. Your rights
For the processing of your personal data you have the following rights according to the GDPR:
- Right to information about your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right of rectification, blocking or deletion (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR)
- Right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR) as well as
- Right to data transferability (Art. 20 GDPR, where technically possible).

Right of Complaint
In addition to the rights mentioned above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 13 paragraph 2 DSGVO). You can contact the data protection authority responsible for your place of residence.
7. Videos on YouTube
We use the YouTube platform (https://www.youtube.com) to integrate selected videos on this website and thus make them directly accessible to you in an easy way. YouTube is an online service owned by Google.
If you see a YouTube video embedded on this site, please note that it connects to YouTube’s servers and that YouTube processes personal data (especially your current IP address) according to its own data processing policies and uses it for business purposes. Depending on your browser settings, YouTube may set a so-called cookie on your end device after you click on a video, before the video is played. If you are logged in with your Google Account when the video plays in your browser, the video will be added to your personal video history on YouTube.
